Welcome to vetask.com; the veterinary information website for you and your pets.
Thank you for visiting vetask.com. vetask.com is a veterinary information website which aims to help owners seeking veterinary information, help with behavioural problems or general care information for their pets. Responses to questions submitted to vetask.com are from UK vet Samantha Coe BVetMed MRCVS who has over ten years' experience of small animal veterinary practice (primarily domestic pets).
Follow any of the links below or click here to read the latest online information.
Although this site can never take the place of a veterinary consultation it will hopefully help owners who are unsure whether to seek such a consultation. It will also help if you would like to understand your pet's illness or condition better, or if you would like information and help regarding your pet's behaviour. Of course if you have questions about how to house and feed your pet or any other husbandry issues which you would like clarified we can help too. In short we will be happy to try to answer any veterinary related questions which you may have. However if you are ever in any doubt regarding the urgency or seriousness of your pet's condition then seek immediate veterinary advice from your local veterinary practice.
Free veterinary information online
VetAsk is currently offering free veterinary information online. This free information service is in an "open" public format so please bear this in mind if you decide to try it. This is being set up as a trial to start with, to help with awareness building and also to encourage debate and feedback on veterinary issues within the forum where anyone will be able to post comments, questions and information on animal related issues.
The idea with Vetask is that you can "ask the vet" by submitting your question any time online. Over time, the questions and answers will build into a substantial information resource to help pet owners everywhere.
To use the free online veterinary information service, simply register and then follow the link. Uploading a relevant picture may also be helpful in giving you more accurate information: you can upload a JPEG (popular digital format used by almost all digital cameras and scanners) from the online request form. Please note that if you submit or upload a picture by doing so you are agreeing for this image to be published on the site - please see Terms and Conditions for more details.
A vision for online veterinary information
